WHY SHOULD I HIRE AN ORGANIZER?
To make your life easier and reduce stress! When you live in a disorganized or cluttered space, you waste time (where are those keys??) and money (I am sure I already bought school supplies but I can't find them!). I love to organize and to solve everyday problems. When you hire me, you are making an investment in your sanity.
DO I NEED TO ORGANIZE WITH YOU?
It depends on the project. Your input is essential to the process, but while some clients like to work with me, others are happy to complete "homework" such as sorting through piles of items I have questions about. Once we have sorted your belongings, I will suggest organizational solutions and products for you.
HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST?
Please read about pricing here. I charge an hourly rate and I generally work and bill in three hour increments. Three hours is enough time to make progress in your space while also preventing overwhelm (organizing is physically and emotionally taxing at times!). I always provide a free consultation so I can give you an estimate of cost before we get started.
SHOULD I CLEAN UP BEFORE WE WORK TOGETHER?
Absolutely not! It actually helps for me to see your space as it exists day to day so I can better understand what is not working for you and how I can help.
DO I NEED TO BUY BINS, HANGERS, AND ORGANIZING SUPPLIES?
No, you don't! I will first challenge you to get rid of items in your home that you do not need before asking you to purchase any supplies. You will be surprised by how many containers in your home can be repurposed for organizing, saving you money and a time consuming shopping trip.
WILL YOU MAKE ME THROW THINGS AWAY?
Only if you want to! My job as a professional organizer is to approach your items with an objective view and challenge you to get rid of items that no longer serve you. I can help you sell, donate and recycle items.
IS OUR WORK CONFIDENTIAL?
Absolutely. I understand the trust you place in me when you welcome me into your home. I will never photograph your space without your permission, nor will I discuss your project with another client.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
I accept cash, check and Venmo. Payment is due at the time of service.
